This file provides whole-rock X-Ray fluorescence (XRF) analyses, sample locations, and lithology on 345 igneous samples, collected from 1978 through 1979 by James Fitzgerald, two field seasons into a Ph.D. dissertation at the University of Idaho on the volcanic rocks and structure of the Weiser embayment. After his untimely death on May 18, 1980 in the Mount St. Helens eruption, and his colleagues went on to posthumously publish his Ph.D. (Fitzgerald, 1981). This work was reinterpreted by Bond and others (2011) highlighting new research and information on the area and resulted in a 1:250,000-scale map of the Weiser basin.
